Materials Needed: First, ensure you have a flat, appropriately sized piece of cardboard for your cake box. The cardboard is usually pre-cut, consisting of the box body and lid, and sometimes includes latches or clips for securing it.

Folding the Box Body:

Lay the cardboard flat on a table and locate the fold lines of the box body. These lines are usually pre-stamped for easy folding.

Fold the cardboard in half along the long fold line to form a rectangular tube. Ensure the folded edges are aligned and press the folds flat with your fingers or a ruler for added security.

Next, locate the fold line on the short side and fold both ends of the tube inwards to form the bottom of the box. Again, ensure the folded edges are aligned and press the folds flat.

Securing the Box Body:

If the cake box has latches or clips, insert them into the corresponding slots to secure the box. This step may require some patience and care to ensure each latch is correctly inserted and the box is stable and doesn't wobble.

If there are no tabs or clips, you can use tape or glue to secure the edges of the box, ensuring they don't easily come undone.

Folding the Lid:

Locate the fold lines on the lid; these lines are usually pre-printed on the cardboard.

Fold the lid along the fold lines to match the shape of the box. Ensure the lid is slightly larger than the box so it fits easily.

If the lid has handles or decorative elements, fold and install it according to the design instructions.

Assembling:

Gently place the folded lid on the box, ensuring they fit perfectly and are secure.

Check that the entire cake box is folded and assembled securely, with no loose parts.
